Meet Dr. Tina R. Walker

Dr. Tina’s mom always stressed to her the value of an education. With that, Dr. Tina continued her academic pursuit and achieved her doctorate in Organizational Leadership in 2017. She is the first in four generations to obtain a college degree. She holds an MBA as well as a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Tina’s life, like many, includes a variety of personal and professional highs and lows. At times, she found herself in situations that felt paralyzing and heartbreaking. Giving up outwardly was not an option; however, something was slowing down internally. She was holding on to those events and living a life that was not authentic or complete. As she learned to release, life internally and externally became more promising.

Dr. Tina has spoken on several platforms and has written publications as a subject matter expert in all areas of human resources, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and organizational excellence. She has conducted training courses and led conversations across the United States around the same topics. Tina served as an adjunct professor for more than a decade, helping students learn and grow through their commitments toward bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Dr. Tina has found a new passion. Writing. Her sophomore book entitled Release What You Can No Longer Carry is a powerful guide for discovering and letting go of whatever is holding you back. This book takes you on a courageous journey with yourself. It is the integration of “before I… and since I…” Dr. Tina seeks to encourage, inspire, and empower others through her open and transparent storytelling of personal and professional triumphs and failures.
